Amari Vang Vieng

The town of Vang Vieng is known for its flowing river, stunning karst cliffs and huge backpacker culture. However, if you’re looking for a more upscale option, look no further as the Amari Vang Vieng offers the most luxurious stay in town.

First Impressions

The towering property is hard to miss overlooking the Nam Song River. As soon as you walk through the front doors, you are immediately greeted by kind smiles from the friendly staff and a breezy check-in process. The lobby is super modern and tasteful, and you quickly understand why this newly built property is recognized as one of Vang Vieng’s finest. We couldn’t help but to be stoked to call it our new home for the next few nights.

Our room was on the third floor, so we knew that we were in for a breathtaking view. So naturally the first thing we did was run outside to the balcony and take a moment to soak it all in. We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels with nice views, but the Amari Vang Vieng left us absolutely speechless.

After we allowed our minds to be blown for a few minutes, we decided it was time to start checking out the details of our new room. Since Marla swears her favorite part of the day is climbing into bed at night, the first thing she did was dive under the covers… and holy cow. The bed was pure magic. We are talking down feathers everywhere, cloud level coziness. Not to mention, the robes provided in the room were probably the most comfortable things we’ve ever put on our bodies. Plus, our room was huge, so we had was plenty of space to unpack and settle in. Needless to say, we spent some serious time relaxing and utilizing the room and all its amazing comforts.

To be honest, the bathroom was magnificent. Spotlessly clean and equipped with a full vanity kit, it had everything we needed and more. Plus, it had an enormous rain shower with a window that looked into the rest of the bedroom. This was our favorite part because you could watch a stunning sunset right from your own shower! How many times can you say you’ve done that before?

Onsite Dining

Amari Vang Vieng’s onsite restaurant Essence is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving up delicious options for all. We would highly suggest to choose a room package with complimentary breakfast. We had the opportunity to eat breakfast there every morning, and all we can say is WOW! They have everything you could ever dream of. However, out of all the options our favorite was definitely the made-to-order traditional Laos soup. You can choose the noodles, meat and veggies, then bam! You have the most delicious bowl of noodles and the perfect way to start your day in paradise.

Facilities: Pool and Fitness Center

If we haven’t already convinced you of Amari Vang Vieng’s beauty, just wait until you get the check out the pool. With easily the best view in town, the Amari Vang Vieng’s enormous infinity pool is what dreams are made of. So much that one day we actually spent our entire day just lounging around and admiring all the surrounding natural beauty. It’s actually somewhat overwhelming but in the best way possible. If you don’t choose to stay here, you should absolutely buy a pass to spend the day at the pool. We promise you will NOT regret it!

If you’re looking for a place to get your sweat on, then you will absolutely love Amari Vang Vieng’s fitness center. It’s spacious with awesome A/C and tons of equipment. There’s no doubt that any work out fanatic will be able to spend some quality time in here. Since in our lives a good gym is a rare find, we took full advantage and went every single day during our stay.

Vang Vieng has turned out to be one of our favorites spots of our trip so far, and our time at Amari Vang Vieng definitely contributed to that. It’s in the best location with the friendliest staff in the world and has the best view in town. What more could you want? We can 10000% recommend Amari Vang Vieng to any traveler looking to treat themselves. Click here to book your stay now!

Yours in Adventure,

Joel & Marla
